Texting consent
SermonSync sends church texts only after the church confirms consent.
SermonSync helps churches create sermon recap pages and optional text follow-up messages. A church must confirm that recipients have agreed to receive messages before member texts go live. Purchased, scraped, rented, or cold lists are not allowed.

Accepted opt-in paths
Church member form or connection card
A person gives the church their phone number and agrees to receive church communication, including sermon follow-up messages.
Existing church texting list
A church may import members only when it can confirm they already receive church texts or have otherwise consented to church messages.
Verbal consent recorded by the church
A pastor or church leader may record that a member asked to receive messages or verbally agreed to receive church follow-up texts.
Pilot application review
Before live texting, SermonSync reviews the church's consent path and keeps native SMS disabled until the pastor confirms the list is consented.
Pastor approval and no automatic sending
SermonSync is human-in-the-loop. A pastor or authorized church leader reviews the sermon recap before member texts are sent. During onboarding, native SMS remains disabled until the church confirms the recipient list and approval process.

A church may use language like this on a connection card, web form, or member communication form:
I agree to receive sermon recap and church follow-up text messages from my church through SermonSync. Message frequency may vary, but is usually weekly. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help.
